The holiday spirit was in full effect as community members came out in droves and collected a total of 23,435 pounds of food for residents in need during this year’s 14th annual Stuff-A-Truck.
Held on Friday, December 11, the food bank received over $10,680—enough money to provide 26,700 meals to families, children and seniors this holiday season.
The Capital Area Food Bank extends our sincere gratitude to Giant, who has sponsored the event since 2002. And a very special thanks goes to our invaluable media partners, Fox 5 and CBS Radio, for helping the food bank maximize donations by providing extensive broadcast coverage during the event.
Our valued partners over at Oxon Hill Rentals, Select Event Group, A&A Rentals, A Grand Event and Party Rentals generously donated the tents. The good folks at Chipotle, Chick-fil-A and the Buffalo Wing Factory and Pub provided refreshments for staff and volunteers.
No event would be possible without the help and dedication of the food bank’s valued volunteers and staff.
