Admit it – you’re tired of spending your lunch break driving aimlessly down Franconia Road in search of a quick meal before heading back to work. For one day in March, let the Capital Area Food Bank inject some flavorful fun into your typical lunch routine.
After seven years of enthusiastic feedback from DC supporters, the CAFB is excited to host its first Empty Bowls in Springfield, VA at the Hilton Springfield on Thursday, March 5th from 11:30am-2pm.
Gather a car full of colleagues and cruise on over. Don’t have a car? No problem! Hop on the metro and ride the complimentary shuttle to the hotel.
For a minimum $25 donation, the CAFB invites you to ward off the cold weather with a lunch of bottomless savory soups and freshly baked bread.
Guests will take home a beautiful ceramic bowl, hand-crafted by local artists as a keepsake and reminder of how you helped fill the stomachs of those struggling to get enough food to eat.
Now you have a reason to skip Springfield Plaza for the umpteenth time!
An Empty Bowls lunch offers so much more than a full stomach. Your attendance is a way of actively supporting hunger relief in the Washington metro area.
Eat good, feel good. RSVP here.
