When was the last time you went to bed hungry? Or the last time you didn’t know where your next meal was going to come from? Sadly, that is the reality for over 680,000 residents right here in the Washington metro area who are struggling just to get enough food to eat.
To help feed families and individuals over the holidays, WHUR-FM, Wegmans and Suntrust Bank are hosting the annual Food2Feed this Thursday, November 15 at the Old Post Office Pavilion from 6 am – 6 pm. Individuals are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items or make monetary donations.
So come out and join your favorite WHUR-FM personalities and help the Capital Area Food Bank feed the thousands of children, seniors and families going without life’s most basic need – food.
