Taco Competition Helps Raise Funds for CAFB

By Shamia Holloway May 14, 2011

Which local amateur chef makes the best tacos in the region?

Head to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hotel tomorrow, May 15th, from noon to 4 PM to see more than 20 chefs compete in the D.C. Taco Experiment.  Hosted by Brooklyn based foodies Nick Suarez and Theo Peck, the D.C. Taco Experiment is a cook-off of amateur chefs.  The winner will not only take the title of Best Taco Maker in the area, but will receive a cash prize and an invitation to the national cook-off competition in New York.  Dishes will be judged by a group of experts and audience reaction.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the food bank.  So if you’re looking for something to do tomorrow, make your way down to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hotel.  Sample tacos and help feed those struggling with hunger.
