Change is within your reach … every dollar makes a difference

A line at Landover food distribution
Giving campaigns are another way to get involved with the Capital Area Food Bank and the issue of hunger. Many organizations sponsor fundraising campaigns that engage their members, employees or the community at large and directly benefit the food bank. Some of them are quite creative and others get the job done in a simple, yet effective way. From annual giving campaigns at Giant Food and Safeway where customers can add $1, $3 or $5 to their grocery bills to Zenith Gallery’s Food Glorious Food calendar, each campaign makes a difference in the lives of the people we serve. For every $1 donated to the food bank, we are able to provide three meals to a hungry person.
