United Way, CFC, and Workplace Giving | Capital Area Food Bank

To make donating as convenient as possible, we participate in a variety of workplace giving programs.

If you would like to donate to the Capital Area Food Bank through your workplace, there are three easy ways you can make an impact on hunger in the Washington, DC, region. We partner with United Way, are part of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) program, and honor employer matching programs. Just $1 can provide 2 meals to children and families in need.

United Way giving

United Way makes it possible for employees to contribute to causes that are important to them. Through payroll deductions, you can donate money to the food bank. If your employer promotes workplace giving through the United Way, designate your donation to the food bank by placing #8052 on your pledge form. Or, you can specify us by name.

Combined Federal Campaign giving

The Capital Area Food Bank is proud to participate in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), which is available to federal government employees. When giving through CFC, find us under our name in the CFC directory and write us on your pledge form as CFC #30794.

Matching donation program

Many employers will match charitable contributions that their employees make. Often times, gifts from retirees and employees’ spouses qualify for a match too. If your employer participates in donation matching, you can double your impact and make it possible for us to provide twice as many good, healthy meals. Use the tool below to see if your employer will match a donation to the food bank.
