High energy, good spirits, and a team ready to be put to work.
That’s the crew from Enterprise Mobility, who brought a shift of volunteers from across their DC offices this month to help pack nearly 500 boxes of food for seniors at the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB).
Some of the volunteers were familiar faces, who regularly step away from the car-rental desk to provide a different type of service every few months. One team member even shared that he was moving away soon but “couldn’t miss his last chance to volunteer at CAFB.”
That enthusiasm fueled a fast-paced shift of box packing, reflecting the team’s strong commitment to giving back.
Enterprise Mobility team members have logged more than 1,200 volunteer hours at CAFB, showing up again and again to lend their time and hands-on support. But their impact doesn’t stop there. Since 2016, Enterprise Mobility’s Fill Your Tank® program has contributed over $1.5 million in grant funding to CAFB in addition to their volunteer support

Jennifer Moreno, who coordinates Enterprise Mobility’s giving and volunteer engagement for the Washington D.C. region, says that for her team, the relationship with CAFB goes beyond a financial grant. “It’s a relationship we’ve built,” she said. “CAFB’s mission aligns perfectly with our Fill Your Tank program goal of ending hunger and we love volunteering – you can count on us for a full shift of people.”
Jennifer has led these efforts since 2020, organizing annual points throughout the year, like MLK Day of Service, National Volunteer Week, and a summer Philanthropy Day where interns join in, ensuring the team always has something to look forward to.
Enterprise Mobility’s connection to the community runs deep. Their team members work in neighborhoods across the region every day, and volunteering gives them a way to give directly back to the people they serve.
“We see the community every day through our work, but volunteering gives us the chance to give back in a direct and impactful way,” Jennifer says. Volunteering supports the company’s Founding Value of “strengthening our communities, one neighborhood at a time.”
When asked to sum up their shift in one word, volunteers responded with “meaningful,” “impactful,” and “rewarding.”
We are so thankful for the Enterprise team, not just for their financial support, but for the time, energy, and heart they dedicate to supporting those in need of food assistance across our region. As they continue to invest in our community through their Fill Your Tank initiative – which will provide funding until at least 2030 – we look forward to many more volunteer shifts, even more boxes packed, and the continued enthusiasm of a team that always shows up ready to make a difference.
