Tell Your Senators to Protect Hunger-Relief Programs

By Brian Banks June 8, 2012

Your U.S. Senators are currently debating the Farm Bill. The programs in the Farm Bill that help feed the hungry are in jeopardy of being drastically reduced. We must protect and strengthen the SNAP and TEFAP programs that help our neighbors put food on the table.
How You Can Help
Phone calls to both of your U.S. Senators will make a difference. The Capital Area Food Bank is grateful for your advocacy effort and we are here asking you to call one more time. Locate and contact your state’s U.S. Senators. Ask to speak to the person on staff who works on the Farm Bill. Feel free to use the script we prepared below:

Afterwards, please email the Capital Area Food Bank at advocacy@CapitalAreaFoodBank.org to let us know you made contact with your Senators’ offices and let us know their responses.

Thank you for your help!
