Welcome to the Capital Area Food Bank’s new website. We are excited about improving the look and feel, ease of use and information shared on this site. It has been in the works since last spring and has truly been a journey. Numerous people on the food bank’s staff spent countless hours strategizing, analyzing and offering personal opinions to reach this point. CITI DC and iStrategyLabs were in the trenches with us advising, guiding and “technologizing” the process – without them, it wouldn’t have flown. We are also grateful to the William J. and Dorothy K. O’Neill Foundation who generously awarded the food bank a grant to complete this work.
Sadly, hunger continues to grow in and around our nation’s capital and we are striving to address it in a lot of innovative ways. Look through the new web site and figure out how you can Learn, Give, and Act – every action does make a difference. We ask that you be patient with us as we transition to a new way of communicating about the issue of hunger. We are looking forward to connecting with you through this blog, Twitter, Facebook and other social media channels, so stay tuned.
It’s beautiful Kasandra and everyone at CAFB. It feels like a warm cup of coffee on a cold day.
