Emergency Support

School cancellations. Job disruptions.  Health risks.  There’s a lot to make our community anxious right now. For those who aren’t sure where their next meal will come from, the worries are even greater.

You can make an enormous difference for parents, kids, and other individuals by making sure no one goes hungry during this emergency. Your support of the food bank’s COVID-19 emergency response will:

  • Enable us to provide additional food to “Community Hubs”— our nonprofit partners that have committed to remaining open even as many of our partner organizations are forced to suspend operations.
  • Help us increase direct distribution of food through pop-up pantries where we give out 25-pound boxes of shelf stable items, each able to feed a family of four for up to five days.
  • Provide grab-and-go meals for children who normally participate in our after school-meals program.
  • Reach seniors in need through our Grocery Plus, My Groceries to Go and Senior Brown Bag locations that remain open to provide seniors with supplemental groceries.

Together, we’ll care for our neighbors during this uncertain time and in the months to come.
