“You might not hear us singing, but our voices have never been louder!”
Washington DC is not only the nation’s capital but also the “choral capital” of the country, boasting more than 100 professional, volunteer, and community choruses of all sizes. But because of COVID-19, choral singing has been paused indefinitely.
In response, a coalition of DC area choruses are orchestrating singers and patrons in coordinated support of neighbors in need. Over 30 choruses are currently involved at over 3,000 voices strong!
Participating Choirs:
Alexandria HarmonizersArlington Chorale
Children’s Chorus of Washington
The Choral Arts Society of Washington
Fairfax Choral Society Symphonic Chorus
Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC
