Capacity Building

The food bank offers specialized workshops to support partner agencies in better meeting the needs of their community.

Capacity building workshops are frequently administered in our Mildred J. Brooks Learning Center, a training kitchen, and nearly one acre Urban Demonstration Garden.

Recipes are key tools in supporting healthier lifestyles by providing people with a selection of inexpensive, quick-to-prepare meal options. The Capital Area Food Bank’s Recipes from the CAFB Kitchen and “Recipes on the Run” contain low-sodium, low-sugar meal options everyone will enjoy.
