The Capital Area Food Bank is committed to providing food for our neighbors in need, throughout the year and in unexpected moments of economic hardship.
In response to the government shutdown, the Capital Area Food Bank is holding free pop-up markets for government employees and contractors affected by the shutdown. This Saturday, January 26th, CAFB will be distributing free produce, groceries and frozen meals outside of the six Giant locations below from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Please bring your federal ID or federal contractor ID. Additionally, Haymarket Food Pantry, a partner of the CAFB, will be distributing groceries and household/hygiene items from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Gainesville United Methodist Church.
The information on this page will be updated on Thursday of each week.
