“Chop’t” Chef Grace Lichaa returns to Washington, D.C. to cook up a fall harvest dinner to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank. She’ll prepare a savory, four course menu made with seasonal ingredients provided by From the Farmer. Attendees will feast family-style in a unique setting – the training kitchen at the Capital Area Food Bank.

Grace is an experienced chef and food educator, who many will remember in 2012 was the first-ever D.C. Chef to win “Chopped” on the Food Network. Before moving to Boston in early 2014, Grace worked as D.C. regional manager at the Capital Area Food Bank. She remains a fierce advocate for hunger in our nation’s capital and beyond.

In honor of Hunger Action Month, Chef Grace, the Capital Area Food Bank, Bookalokal and From the Farmer have teamed up to host this event in hopes it will inspire and push others to host similar events to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank.

On the Menu

Entrees will be served family-style, and include vegetarian-friendly and gluten-free friendly options. Chef Grace is creating dishes out of produce that’s sourced by From the Farmer. Stay tuned for the menu, we’ll be harvesting fruits and veggies at the peak of freshness days before the event. All additional proceeds raised will benefit the food bank.

Chef Grace will prepare a citrus mixer. Attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite liquor for a DIY cocktail!
