Social Media Volunteers

The CAFB recognizes that the denizens of the capital area region possess new media skills that can be invaluable in spreading the word about hunger. For that reason, we have institutionalized the recognition of social capital contributions made by bloggers, photographers, videographers and other content creators.

The Capital Area Food Bank is home to many heartwarming stories about making a differences in the lives of those who need it most and we invite the talented creatives of the DC Metropolitan area to come out to our warehouse to capture these stories in whatever form they like. You can reach out to us on Twitter @foodbankdcmetro or join our group on facebook to meet others like you that use Social Media to help fight hunger.
