Mobile Feeding

Specific food bank food distributions are open to all residents and age-ranges.

Through the Mobile Market program, the food bank delivers fresh produce monthly to high-needs neighborhoods throughout the Washington metropolitan area. As of January 2015, the CAFB operates 88 Mobile Market locations in partnership with community organizations.

Community Marketplaces are monthly farmer’s market-inspired food distributions, located in high-density areas with high rates of food insecurity. The CAFB offers fresh, seasonal produce at no cost; health, housing, and other service providers are on site as resources for our clients, and cooking demonstrations offer inspiration for health.
