Do you know what hunger looks like?
Hunger can not be seen, which is why so many of us don’t realize the impact that it is having on our community. The best way that you can give back is by learning the facts. Because knowing the facts leads to solutions that will help to feed the hundreds of thousands of Washington Metropolitan area residents who are currently facing hunger or at the risk of facing hunger.

As the area’s largest food bank, we were able to distribute 23 million pounds of food last year alone. But our work is not close to being done. Tough economic times, rising unemployment rates and skyrocketing food prices have left 633,000 local area residents hungry, including an estimated 200,000 children. There is no better time to learn the facts and help make a difference.
