On June 19th, 2012, the Capital Area Food Bank will participate as the official charity for the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT) Fancy Food Show.
The Fancy Food Show is North America’s largest specialty food & beverage event where over 2,000 vendors will distribute over 180,000 food products including confections, cheese, coffee, snacks, spices and other assorted food items to other retailers, restaurateurs and distributors within the food industry. Join us in collecting over 150,000 pounds of food!
Volunteers will assist with recovering all donated items from the show’s vendors.
When & Where?
The volunteer shift will take place at the D.C. Convention Center on Tuesday, June 19th from 2:00pm-7:30pm and is accessible via metro on the Green and Yellow lines.
