How are your school pantries going? How often are they open and what are the hours? Are you exclusively doing the Meals for Minds program, or are you able to offer other feeding programs concurrently? We are interested in starting a similar program in Philadelphia. Thanks!

Hi Shamia,

I am planning a trip out of town this weekend (Jan 609) but I forwarded this page to my good friends who would be great volunteers. They may contact you. I don't know what they scheduled but just opened this page today.

I was looking for a place to donate all the extra groceries that I purchased for my holiday cooking and of course since it is the new year I am on the bandwagon to eat fresh living foods and do not want to throw away the foods that will not be consumed. I have canned goods, unopened flour, sugar, pumpkin pie filling, canned evaporated milk, unopened boxes of ritz crackers and the sort.

Is this organization can take these I will come by to drop them off next week if it is. If not I will continue looking. In addition I will be looking for a way to volunteer in the near future. This is a new year and serving others in any small or big way that I can is part of my new outlook and way to live.

One way or anthother I am going to be a part of the solution....

Thanks
Katie

Lynn,

Congratulations! Thank you for all that you do in making the Capitol Area Food Bank a success. It is indeed a privilege to say that this dynamic organization is housed in Ward 5 and that together we are working to help others. I can’t wait for the ribbon cutting on the new facility.
