Product arrives from retailers, manufacturers, distributors, grocers, growers, processors, the food industry, America’s Second Harvest and food drives. 

The Capital Area Food Bank

The Capital Area Food Bank collects, sorts and inspects product for distribution to member agencies and Kids Cafes

Member Agencies

Food pantries, soup kitchens, day care centers, youth programs, senior centers, homeless shelters, residential shelters, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes and faith-based organizations serve or deliver food to people in need.

People In Need

A diverse group of people ultimately benefit from the Capital Area Food Bank’s services such as children, families, seniors, single parent families, battered women, disabled, mentally ill and working poor families.
