Turning Knowledge Into Action
The Agency Achievement Academy (A3) is a unique training program designed to take feeding programs to the next level – whatever that may be. Over 40 free workshops teach both new and old feeding programs the skills to increase their capacity – whether that means implementing a new food distribution model, conducting a cooking demonstration, or strengthening their board’s fundraising skills.

In the News
Needs Assessments Thirty years ago, the Capital Area Food Bank was founded in the hopes that there would soon no longer be a need for food assistance. Unfortunately, hunger issues are on the rise – but the food bank continues to respond. In our 30th year, we are committed to distributing 30 million pounds of food to the community – with half of that in fresh produce. This effort is a significant undertaking and requires clear and open communication with our partner organizations. In order to open up the channels of communication, the Capital Area Food Bank will be conducting one-on-one needs assessments with its partner agencies.
If you are interested in sharing your needs and shaping the direction of the food bank, please e-mail aaa@capitalareafoodbank.org or call Kristin Boehne at 202-526-5344 x294 to schedule your interview.
