DC Greens

  1. Join DC Greens at Farmers’ Markets Across DC

Support farmers’ markets (PDF) in all 8 wards of DC in providing access to fresh fruit and vegetables to low-income community members.
Why: In 2014, over 15,000 District residents participated in the Produce Plus Program between June and September, overwhelming the 43+ farmers’ markets across the city with their enthusiasm. As a Farmers’ Market Brigade volunteer you will make sure that new and returning Produce Plus customers have the best possible experience when they shop at a market.
Contact: Molly Berntsen at Molly@dcgreens.org for more information.

By sharing your time, skills and experience with the Capital Area Food Bank, you help us better serve children, seniors and families at risk of hunger in our community. If you want to chat about these or other ideas you have, please contact Ellen Mackall at (202) 644-9835.
