The Best Way to Listen to Music in 2015

By Ashley Hieb January 6, 2015

wwLooking for a way to kick off your New Year’s resolution to give back? How about that promise you made yourself to start listening to some good music in 2015?

The Capital Area Food Bank is here to help. This week, we’re kicking off our 2015 Warehouse Wednesday events with a bang (and a couple of bassoons!). Warehouse Wednesday is a monthly after-hours event for young professionals to come to the food bank, network and sort/pack food that will be distributed to our partner agencies and feed over 540,000 people at-risk of hunger in the Washington metro area.

This month, we’ll be joined by two bassoonists from the National Symphony Orchestra, who will give a free performance for our hardworking attendees following the volunteer activity. This concert is part of NSO In Your Neighborhood, a series of free performances featuring members of the National Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with organizations throughout Brookland and NoMa.

So get 2015 off to a great start by doing good while treating your eardrums to good music 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. this Wednesday, January 7, at the Capital Area Food Bank, 4900 Puerto Rico Avenue, NE, Washington, D.C. 20017.

To RSVP, email Ashley Hieb at ahieb@capitalareafoodbank.org. Also, let us know if you’re interested in cohosting an event with us!
